My name is Rob Haywood and I was born in 1950 which means I was lucky enough to have lived through the magical "60's". There were so many good bands around in those day but my greatest love was for The Hollies and I have followed them as much as I have been able to since those early days.
One of the greatest thrills of my life was in 1979 when I first got to talk to Bobby Elliott after a concert in Nottingham.
I took some photo's at this concert and some more at Derby in 1980 and 1981 and then managed to show them to Bobby. He liked them and asked to see some more. Fortunately for me The Hollies have used lots of my live stage material ever since and I have now become friends with the band.
The Hollies and Photography, which now includes other bands and shows, are just two of my hobbies. I like to Fish occasionally and watch many other sports including Motor Rallying, Football, Rugby and any game played well.
Unfortunately, I also have to work full time which can be a pain at
times, (in more ways than one).
My family is also in some need of my presence occasionally so, all in
all, I am pretty busy most of the time.
Please feel free to contact me by any means, except smoke signals or carrier pigeon, I am always ready and willing to talk about The Hollies, even if I am a little slow to reply at times.
